"My experience was terrific due to the expertise of Drs. Marsh and Zoellick and staff."
"Thorough explanations were given."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What are the risks?

The chance of having a complication has been documented in a number of clinical studies to be less than 1%. Seeing an Optometrist and TLC doctor with extensive training in the laser surgery field will even reduce the probability of risk even further.
The Optometrists of Primary EyeCare Associates will be there to help their patients who experience difficulty with their procedure or recovery time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this procedure covered by insurance?

Most insurance companies do not cover LASIK surgery; however, the procedure may be tax-deductible depending upon your filing status.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the actual procedure like?

During the procedure, anesthetic drops will be applied to the eye. A hinged flap will then be created by the surgeon and folded back (a slight pressure will be felt during this step, but no discomfort). The inner corneal layer is then reshaped by the laser. Finally, the surgeon will close the flap and allow the healing process to begin.
The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes per eye.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What kind of results can I expect?

The degree of vision improvement will vary from individual to individual. The procedure does not guarantee perfect or 20/20 vision. However, nearsighted patients have achieved a 95% success rate of 20/40 or better vision. This means that those patients will no longer need to wear their glasses to watch movies, drive, play sports, or be denied career paths requiring excellent vision.
